I have always been a fan of the Rubik’s cube. It’s such a lovely thing, and I like the way it gets messed up by just turning the sides a little bit. I purchased my first cube when I was seven. It was a cube with a Mickey Mouse pattern on it, and I loved it. I learned how to solve the regular cube (3x3x3) and learned a bit of speedsolving. I became a very dedicated “cuber” and always looked for new tricks and solutions to this mind puzzler.
Awhile ago, I was wandering through a bookstore and I saw this 5x5x5 cube (also known as the Professor’s Cube). I looked at it as if it was some sort of treasure, and I just had to have it! But my sister and I already bought three books so I didn’t know if my dad would still buy the cube for me. I’m so glad he did! He said that would be his Christmas gift for me :) I tried it out a little bit and it’s really hard. It’s like re-learning all the techniques and tricks. It was like I have never solved a cube before. But it’s okay! I’m getting hooked and I’m currently enjoying turning around all the pieces and fiddling with them, making sure they’re on the right spot. It’s the best gift ever! I hope I get to beat the puzzle soon. ^_^ One thing’s for sure, though. I’ll never get annoyed in the process of learning how to solve it. Yeah, a bit weird and insane, but I’m just thinking positive. Lol. If I was successful with the 3x3x3, I would have the same outcome with the 5x5x5.
How about you? Have you tried solving a Rubik’s cube before? Were you successful? Tell me about your experiences :)

3*3*3 is complicated enough… My older brother (who can solve it in under 30 seconds) tried to teach me once, but my brain just doesn’t get it.
Have fun with your 5*5*5! You sound like a genius 8)

AHHH I HATE rubik’s cubes! I can never get even one side and when I’m close, I always mess it up. I’m certain the damn thing can’t be solved; everyone’s just lying:P I just, ugh. I hate them. They make me feel stupid, hahaha:)

Thanks!
I’m quite bad at Rubik’s Cube since I never solved one.

I got a Rubik’s for Christmas (the 3x3x3 one) and I pretty much gave up about an hour after playing with it. It was so hard. :( I tried looking up tutorials and stuff, but that confused me even more lol.
