I will greet everyone first before starting my blog entry: HAPPY NEW YEAR! Yayz~
So the start of 2009 was pretty good for me. But before the year ended, something really annoying happened. We were going to Church. Since it was near our home, we just walked. And then our neighbors were already setting up their firecrackers. I think they couldn’t wait to light up their firecrackers and hear a loud boom because they lit it up even before my sister could get through. How inconsiderate. :| What if something happened to her? I was really furious. I wanted to beat them up but I couldn’t because my dad was around and he told us to just ignore them “because it’s new year and they’re just having fun”. Ugh. I don’t care if it’s new year and if they’re doing it for fun. It’s not an excuse to completely ignore those fools. They almost hurt another person and I don’t think that’s right. Yeah. So when we arrived at Church, I couldn’t concentrate. I’m scared of firecrackers and that incident just scared me even more.
But our celebration of the new year was awesome! There were lots of great food! Singing and playing Guitar Hero all night was fun. My cousins were here so we slept late. I went to bed at around 4:30 am and woke up 2:20 pm. Lol. XD My body clock’s now weird but I don’t really mind it. Haha.

I guess with that said, I am quite thankful firecrackers are banned here in our place. xD
My NY celebration was fun. Lots of food too. And of course, who wouldn’t love the noise barrage?

It sounds like you had an enjoyable New Year, despite the firecrackers incident. I hate those things. They’re loud and dangerous and someone’s always blowing off a finger or toe or something. UGH. They’re evil little things. *lol*

I’d be very annoyed if that happened to me as well. I really hate those firecrackers which are being lit in the streets and I hate how inconsiderate some people can be sometimes. They’re not even sensitive enough to think that somebody might get hurt. UGH. :s
New Year’s Eve was steady for me. I just spent it in front of the computer. Hahaha.

I think you have every right to be annoyed and angry about that. You’re right, what if something DID happen to her? I bet they did it on purpose just to be mischievous. They probably didn’t think anything would happen to her, though. It’s still better to use an ounce of prevention.

That was really irresponsible of them. I would have said something to them. I wouldn’t have been able to keep quiet. Every year a bunch of people get hurt or DIE from accidents related to firecrackers.

I am glad that fireworks were banned here. It sounds really dangerous that people were just setting them off next to people.
