Site
It all started in a magazine. I saw something that says: "You can make your own website in here!" I tried the site out but the first few pages that I have made weren't very good. And then, I later discovered that Photoshop can make your site good by means of layouts. So I tried, and tried, and tried again until I succeeded. Thanks to my determination, my inspirations (Win-san and Shuri-san) and my stubornness, a site was born.
Awfully Pretty, born on February 5, 2005, was supposed to be a gift for myself for learning advanced graphics. It started as a little blog but it grew to a personal site.
Awfully Pretty. What's in a name?
Once, I wanted to register for my own domain name. Since I was hooked to Suppi-chan at that time, I wanted to name it gorgeously-little.net. So when I entered the name, it was still available but I noticed that in the lower part of the page, there were some other names and the header said: "Other suggested names". I looked at it. They were all nice and cute names, but one name stood out. "Awfully Pretty". I liked it because of the irony behind it, and I can't get it out of my mind so since then, I named my site "Awfully Pretty".
The very first Awfully Pretty (not in the site layouts archive) was hosted in Freewebs. Awfully Pretty officially began when Kirstin (my-intoxication.org) hosted me. But after some months my host went down, so I transferred to beautiful-contradiction.org. Now, here we are, now 1 year old but still continuing!
